Out listening to residents in Prudhoe
The Prudhoe and District Branch of the Labour party, along with support from the rest of Hexham CLP were out listening to the concerns of residents in Prudhoe today. Angie Scott, County Councillor for Prudhoe North and our Town Councillors were out hearing resident’s concerns and they also ran a street stall in The Glade.
The team spoke to residents in both Prudhoe South and Prudhoe North and heard great dissatisfaction with the Conservative MP Guy Opperman and local Conservative politicians. The Cost of Living Crisis, the NHS, pollution in our rivers, policing and anti-social behaviour were all high on the agenda. Labour’s Police and Crime Commissioner Kim McGuinness heard some of the challenges locally and saw the impact of Conservative cuts in funding to Northumbria Police. We were also joined by the North of Tyne Mayor Jamie Driscoll and Scott Dickinson, the leader of Labour on Northumberland County Council.

Thanks to the Hexham Constituency Labour Party for a fav Labour Doorstep in Prudhoe.
Incredible response – residents are completely disillusioned with the shambolic Tory Government. They’re ready for a Labour Government and change.
Huge praise too for hard working Northumberland Labour Councillor Angie Scott too.

I was out in the glorious sunshine with Prudhoe Labour. It’s that regular contact with residents that keeps Labour councillors in touch with what matters.
