Our Conservative MP, Guy Opperman likes to present himself as something of a local hero. But, no matter how many leaflets he circulates without any mention of his party, he cannot separate himself from the incompetent, corrupt, feckless Government that has given our country thirteen wasted years. The people of Hexham constituency are law-abiding, fair and welcoming yet he has not once stood up against the policies and actions of a government that is wilfully shredding our public services while giving out dodgy contracts to their friends. Hexham deserves better than this. It deserves a change of MP at the next election and a caring, competent Labour government that works for us all.
